A: We are making a video doorbell that can be answered from your smartphone. This allows the person at the door to see, hear and speak from the phone. I am a co-founder along with some other people and started SkyBell three years ago. We went to Indiegogo, raised $600,000, and raced to develop this video doorbell! Three years later, to this day, we have partnered with Honeywell, Alarm.com, Monitronics and Comcast.

Q: How does the product work and how much does it cost? A: The product itself is hardware in the shape of a hockey puck. It replaces the current doorbell and has buttons, a video camera, a microphone and a speaker. When someone comes to your door and presses the SkyBell button, it will send a push notification to your smartphone and show you a live video of the person at your door.
